  Your Privacy Matters

  GreenRoom is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains how we
  handle your information and protect your data.

  Google Calendar & Gmail Access

  Important: GreenRoom does NOT have access to your Google Calendar or Gmail
  accounts.

  When you create events in GreenRoom and choose to create Google Calendar
  events, you are using Google's public calendar invitation system. GreenRoom
  creates calendar events on your behalf using Google Calendar APIs, but:

  • We cannot read your existing Google Calendar events
  • We cannot access your Gmail inbox or emails
  • We can only create and modify calendar events that GreenRoom itself created
  • RSVP tracking uses only the public calendar invitation responses

  Email Matching System

  GreenRoom does NOT have access to your Gmail message history.

  GreenRoom includes an optional email matching feature that helps you find
  email addresses for your contacts. When you use this feature:

  • The search is performed directly by your device using Google's Gmail API
  • Email search results are visible only to you on your device
  • GreenRoom servers never receive or store your Gmail message history
  • We cannot see the content of your emails or your search results
  • This feature is entirely optional and only runs when you explicitly choose
  to use it
  • All Gmail data remains private between you and Google

  Information We Collect

  GreenRoom collects and stores only the information necessary to provide event
  coordination services:

  • Your display name and profile information
  • Contact information you choose to import from your device
  • Events you create including dates, locations, and member lists
  • Group configurations you create
  • RSVP responses from Google Calendar invitations you send

  How We Use Your Information

  Your information is used solely to:

  • Enable event creation and management
  • Send calendar invitations to event members
  • Track RSVP responses to your events
  • Organize your contacts and groups
  • Provide you with event coordination tools

  Data Storage & Security

  • All data is securely stored using Google Firebase
  • Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • As the app administrators, we have technical access to data stored in our
  Firebase database for support, debugging, and service improvement purposes
  • We do not actively monitor your personal data and only access it when
  necessary for technical support or service maintenance
  • We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties
  • We do not use your data for advertising purposes

  Contact Information

  • Contacts are imported from your device only when you choose to import them
  • Contact data is stored securely in your GreenRoom account
  • You can delete imported contacts at any time from the Settings menu
  • We do not access or store contacts you haven't explicitly imported

  Your Rights

  You have the right to:

  • Access all data we store about you
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your data at any time
  • Control what information you share

  Data Deletion

  You can delete your data at any time:

  • Individual contacts can be removed from the Contacts tab
  • Groups can be deleted from the Groups tab
  • Your entire account can be deleted by signing out and requesting account
  deletion
  • Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers

  Third-Party Services

  GreenRoom uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase: For data storage and authentication
  • Google Calendar API: For creating calendar events and tracking RSVPs
  • Google Maps: For location services (optional)

  These services have their own privacy policies which govern their use of data.

  Changes to This Policy

  We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any
   changes by posting the new policy in the app with an updated "Last Updated"
  date.
